Read the sample sentence and notice how 一旦……就…… works in the frame: 一旦 A,就 B.
一旦...就... introduces a condition that is important and often has a clear consequence. A is the trigger condition, and B is the result, decision, warning, or required action. It can be used for advice, rules, risks, and plans. Do not reverse 一旦 and 就. Compared with 如果...就..., 一旦...就... sounds stronger and often implies the condition is serious or decisive.
