据我所知 means “as far as I know.” Use it to give information while showing your knowledge may be limited.

Explication

据我所知 introduces a statement based on the speaker’s current knowledge. It is polite because it avoids sounding absolutely certain. Use it when giving updates, answering questions, or correcting information carefully. Do not use it for rumors with no personal basis; use 据说 for hearsay. Compared with 我知道, 据我所知 is more cautious and leaves room for new information.

Erreurs courantes

Using 据我所知 for a rumor only: 据我所知，大家都在传他辞职了。If it is only something people say, use 据说. Use 据我所知 for information within your own knowledge.
Using it with an absolute tone: 据我所知，这一定是唯一的答案。The phrase is cautious. Avoid 一定/唯一 unless you truly have strong evidence.
