越来越 is placed before adjectives or some psychological/ability verbs to show a trend. It describes one thing changing over time, not two things changing together. Do not confuse it with 越A越B, which connects two changing factors. 越来越 is very common with adjectives such as 好, 冷, 忙, 方便, 自然.
