以致 means “resulting in” or “so that.” It is formal and often introduces a negative consequence.

以致 links a prior situation with a consequence, especially a bad or undesirable one. It is common in written analysis, reports, and explanations of problems. Compared with 以至于, 以致 is more concise, more formal, and more often negative.

Kesalahan Umum

Using 以致 for a clearly happy result: 以致身体越来越健康。For positive degree-result, 以至于 is usually more natural.
Using it without a cause in the previous clause.以致 needs a preceding cause or situation.
