陆续 is used when people arrive, items are sent, events happen, or actions are completed not all at once but one after another. It is more neutral than 纷纷 and does not necessarily imply excitement or active response. Do not use it for a single person doing one action.

よくある間違い

Using 陆续 for a single instant action by one person: 他陆续到了。Use 陆续 with plural subjects or repeated items: 客人陆续到了。
Using 纷纷 when only neutral order is meant.If the focus is just arrival/order over time, 陆续 is better.
