造成 focuses on the result that has been created by a cause. It is often used with negative or concrete consequences, such as 影响, 损失, 问题, 错误, 压力. Compared with 导致, 造成 stresses the produced situation or damage more strongly. Do not use it for simple positive results like happiness; use 让 or 使得 instead.
