Read the sample sentence and notice how ……是……的两倍 works in the frame: A 是 B 的两倍.
This pattern compares measurable quantities such as area, length, price, sales, or population. A is the quantity being described, and B is the base for comparison. Be careful with 倍: A 是 B 的两倍 means A equals two times B, not “two times more than B.” Avoid mixing this pattern with 比...多两倍 unless you are sure about the mathematical meaning.
