Action 1，然后 + Action 2: 然后 means 'then / after that.' Use it to connect actions in time order.
然后 connects what happens next. It is useful for telling a story, explaining a process, or arranging plans. The action before 然后 happens first; the action after 然后 happens later. It often works with 先, but 先 is not required. Do not use 然后 for cause and result; use 所以 for results.
