Welcome to PandaBoo — a Chinese language learning app built in Vietnam. By creating an account or using our service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms of Service in full. If anything is unclear, please contact us before you proceed.

Your Account

To access the full range of Chinese learning features on PandaBoo, you must create an account and agree to the following:

• Provide accurate, complete, and truthful information when registering
• Keep your login credentials confidential and never share your password with anyone
• Update your account details promptly whenever they change
• Accept full responsibility for all activity that takes place under your account

Content Usage Rules

All content on PandaBoo — including Chinese learning videos, dictation exercises, and shadowing materials — is protected by intellectual property law:

• Content may only be used for personal, non-commercial Chinese language learning
• Copying, redistributing, or republishing any platform material is strictly prohibited
• You must respect the copyright of content creators and video partners
• All use must comply with applicable fair use provisions

Community Standards

PandaBoo is a community of Chinese language learners. To keep it a positive, safe space for everyone:

• Treat all members with respect — especially in Voice Chat and messaging features
• Do not interfere with or disrupt other users' learning experiences
• Do not attempt to gain unauthorized access to restricted areas, features, or user data
• Do not use bots, scripts, or automated tools to interact with or exploit the platform

User-Generated Content

When you post, share, or create content on PandaBoo (comments, video suggestions, feedback, etc.), the following terms apply:

• You retain ownership of your content but grant PandaBoo a non-exclusive license to use it to improve the platform
• You are solely responsible for the accuracy, legality, and appropriateness of anything you post
• PandaBoo has no obligation to review, verify, or endorse user-generated content
• We disclaim all liability for any harm or damages arising from content posted or shared by users
• We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these terms or our community standards
• You agree not to post content that is harmful, discriminatory, offensive, or that infringes third-party rights

PandaBoo provides its Chinese learning platform on an as-is basis. We are not responsible for any content created, posted, or shared by users, and make no warranties — express or implied — regarding the accuracy or suitability of such content.

Data and Privacy

PandaBoo processes your data in accordance with our published Privacy Policy. By using the service, you agree to the following data processing activities:

• Collection and processing of account and learning behavior data as described in the Privacy Policy
• Analysis of your Chinese learning progress to personalize content recommendations
• Storage of dictation and shadowing session history to track your improvement over time

Voice Processing Features

Voice-related features on PandaBoo — including Chinese pronunciation practice and shadowing — are designed with privacy at the core:

• Voice data is never uploaded or stored on our servers — all processing happens locally on your device
• Audio is processed temporarily in RAM only and is discarded immediately after each session ends
• You have complete control over microphone permissions and can grant or revoke access at any time

YouTube API Services

PandaBoo integrates the YouTube API to provide a rich library of Chinese learning videos. By using the platform, you also agree to:

• YouTube's Terms of Service (https://www.youtube.com/t/terms)
• Google's Privacy Policy (https://www.google.com/policies/privacy)
• YouTube's API usage restrictions and developer policies
• YouTube's right to modify, restrict, or revoke API access at any time

YouTube API Services are provided by YouTube LLC. PandaBoo is an independent API partner and has no official affiliation with or endorsement from YouTube or Google.

Changes to These Terms

PandaBoo may update these Terms of Service as the platform evolves or as required by law. We will notify you of material changes via email or an in-app notice. Continuing to use the service after the effective date of any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
